Welcome to the website for the Festival of Rocketry 2012 - Europe's largest model and amateur rocketry event.

The Festival of Rocketry is an international rocketry event organised and run by the United Kingdom Rocketry Association to encourage and promote the hobbies of model, high power and amateur rocketry. The event runs for three days and is open to those who want to launch model and high power rockets, and to spectators.

The event will run from Sarurday June 2nd 2012 to Tuesday June 5th 2012 at a site near Elsworth in Cambridgeshire.

What to expect...

If you've never attended a rocket launch before... you're in for an exciting (and educational) day out. If you are already a rocket flyer, you can expect a large and well run launch event with exceptional facilities.

The event will feature dawn-till-dusk launches of rockets from tiny hand-sized model rockets up to 10ft+ tall high power rockets reaching speeds faster than the speed of sound and altitudes of over a mile.

There will also be rocketry competitions, evening talks/presentations and rocket workshops for anyone new to the hobby to build and launch their own rocket.
